Waterlogged

lyrics

Long after the alien fell,

With ancient whispers,

Upon the moon’s great center,

The lessons were buried under the water.

To the snakes underneath the sea,

The chipmunks were the fodder.

Only the waves of the ancestors reign free.

Drowned slowly, like the Sieve of Eratosthenes,

The seas,

Like Tranquility, bear no sage.

But, the sparrow still flies on its stage,

On the risen sea, alone, on a paddle boat,

With but a single paddle to float.

One hundred years pass in the blink of an eye.

No storm, no cry, no wonder, no why.
